It is with great sadness that I have to write this note to inform all our supporters that the Reporter has considered the appeal lodged by the developer Burrell and he has granted them planning permission to redevelop Mount Zion church into 12 flats.

This is a major blow and one that I'm sure, like those of us on the committee, you will find very hard to except. You can view his detailed report on their website.

We don't want to give up the fight because we still firmly believe that this is the wrong decision, a decision that simply takes the easy option rather than the right choice. We will be considering our position and what we can do now to save the church for future generations to enter and reflect.
